Amika Shail to essay the lead character in Hriday V Shetty’s Mussoriie Boyz

Singer-turned-actress Amika Shail has signed up Hriday V Shetty’s next thriller comedy feature film Mussoriie Boyz. Amika has already started attending the workshops for the film. The film has been shot extensively in Dehradun and Mussoorie.

Commenting on the occasion Amika said, “It feels great to work with a stalwart director, Hriday’s vision towards the project is unparalleled. I watched his film Chaalis Chauraasi in 2012 – back then I was a singer. I never knew that one day I could get the opportunity to work with him as an actor in one of his films. The film’s ensemble cast had stalwarts such as Naseeruddin Shah, Kay Kay Menon, Ravi Kissen, Manoj Pahwa, etc – all of them are my favorites. I am still pinching myself hard – the feeling is surreal.”

Hriday V Shetty has helmed films such as Mitti, Godfather, Pyaar Mein Twist, Daag, and Plan. His current film Mussoriie Boys is being bankrolled by Producers JS Rawat & Tarun Rawat under their banner JSR Productions. “I immediately said yes to the project, after hearing the script. I will be essaying a unique character in the film that I have never got an opportunity to portray before. Enacting newer characters on screen is a dream come true for every actor and I feel I am blessed to get varied assignments from Laxmi to Mirzapur 2 to Chhatis Aur Maina, etc,” said an excited Amika Shail as she signed off for the moment.

Last year Amika Shail has partnered with South African brand Evolution Sports Nutrition also known as ESN as their brand ambassador in India. The brand is present in the country since 2009 and has the South African star cricketer Jonty Rhodes as its international face. It has supplements catering to the Health, Wellness, Lifestyle, and Sports markets.

On work front she will be seen in web film Intention. She was last seen in web series titled ‘Khunnas’ which premiered on the Indian OTT platform Ullu.
