92.7 BIG FM, Delhi’s all time favorite music station and the ‘Best Radio Broadcaster of the Year 2011’ concluded the grand finale of their show ‘Mohabbatein BIG LOVE STORIES’ at Moments Mall in Kirti Nagar with an unforgettable music concert by the versatile maestro Kailesh Kher on Saturday, January 14. The gala event featured the launch of album “Kailasa Rangeele” and enthralling performances from Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa, much to the delight of the present audience. He mesmerised the audiences by singing some soulful songs from the album.
The event also witnessed the three finalist couples of the BIG LOVE STORIES contest – Ankit & Rekha Jain, Mansi & Bipin Thakur and Rashmi & Neeraj being felicitated by 92.7 BIG FM and the music maestro Kailash Kher. The huge crowd which gathered for the event made the evening more special and memorable for them. The three charming love stories have beaten over 1000 other entries from the capital in this month-long unique and enthralling competition.
It was a very special night for Sadar Bazaar’s couple Ankit & Rekha Jain. Their love for each other knew no bounds, in spite of knowing that Ankit was visually challenged, Rekha went against her parents’ wishes and married him, because she loved him. All these years, Ankit has been seeing the world through her eyes.
Mansi & Bipin Thakur of Malviya Nagar also faced many problems including financial ones in their love life. To add to their woes, their parents were against it too. But they fought against all odds and got married. One of the highlights in their love story was the support they received from friends and associates. For example, Mansi’s ‘Kanyadaan’ was done by her Boss since her parents refused to attend the wedding.
Another couple’s love story is reminiscent of 1981 movie ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’ where the couple stayed apart to keep their families’ pride. Rashmi & Neeraj of Ramesh Nagar remained separated for two long years but stayed committed to each other. They proved to their families that distance could never reduce their love for each other. Eventually both families had to give in.
Company spokesperson said, “The grand finale concluded in style and Kailash Kher’s music was a bonus to all. Kailash Kher had Delhi swing to his melodious tunes. The winners enjoyed a special evening of recognition and were very happy with the reception they received. The show has been a huge success with 92.7 BIG FM receiving thousand of entries and we are sure to come up with more such innovative concepts.”
