Ishwak Singh will be seen in a trilingual directed by Anil Kumar

Ishwak Singh who was last seen in Veere Di Wedding, will be seen featuring opposite renowned Sri Lankan stars Jackson Anthony and Piumi Hansamali, Tamil actor and filmmaker Ramakrishnan and leading Malyali actress Mythili Balchandran in a South Indian film “Lucknow”.

The actor who recently got the air buzzing with his “Biryani Act” is all set to showcase grey shades in the Anil Kumar directorial. Ishwak will be seen delivering dialogues in Tamil, Malayalam and Sinhalese.

The Veere Di Wedding actor, who is a Punjabi himself, took up the challenge of learning the three languages for the film. During a confrontation scene between him and Ramakrishnan, the entire cast and crew present at the set started a huge round of applause because of the intense scene work between the two. “It felt like being on stage and everyone present became the Audience”. This scene was shot thrice, with the same response every time.

Ishwak Singh after practising for just about three days delivered his first dialogue with so much ease and perfection that the entire cast and crew applauded his performance for one of the scene in the film.

Because of his performance in this film and the previous Malyalam film Mohavalyam, Ishwak has also been approached by a leading filmmaker from South who plans to remake his award winning film in Hindi.

This film has been remade in 5 languages and has received critical as well as commercial success. The filmmaker intends to cast Ishwak along with a very senior actor from Bollywood.

Director Lakshmi Iyer gears up for Wrong Mistake short film

Wrong Mistake is a short film based on a unique story inspired by a true event, a valentine’s gift gone wrong on the 10th Anniversary between a power couple and keeps you glued till the climax.

It is an interesting perspective on love and romance. The film has already crossed about 1.7 million views. Starring Sushant Singh, Achint Kaur, Amit Behl and Skye Linhart, it is written and directed by Lakshmi R Iyer and produced by Streetsmart Productions.

Talking about his work experience Sushant Singh says, “I met Lakshmi thanks to my old friend Amit Behl. I always thought Amit talks a lot, but then I met the inventor of the game Ms Iyer. Jokes apart, it was grueling but fun. Long hours,  but fruitful. Specially enjoyed teaming up with old friends and accomplished performers Amit Behl and Achint Kaur, and Skye was a big discovery. Big hug to our DOP, Sound Engineer and the whole crew for a lovely experience.”

Lakshmi says, “This is my second short as a director and I am extremely happy with the love the film has received. I am presently writing another short titled “Pink Auto” And another series based on relationship stories. The digital world gives an opportunity to young talent to explore and create interesting films. Her first feature as a producer “The Gandhi Murder”, is also expected to release in January 2019 produced under the banner Nugen Media Productions, a Dubai based film production house. I am hoping to direct my first feature as soon as I find a great script. To me script still remains the King.”
