Director Ashok Nanda played the perfect host at the star-studded premiere of his film RIVAAZ at Cinemax, Versova, Mumbai. Besides director Ashok Nanda, actors Deepti Naval, Meghna Naidu, Ritisha Vijayvargiya, Sadhika Randhawa, Manoj Bidwai and Manoj Verma did the honours while Raju Shrivastav, who was one of the earliest to arrive, kept everyone in splits. Sandip Soparkar, Jesse Randhawa, Shravan Rathod, Narendra Singh of Filmy Box Music, Arshad Siddique, Pranali Wadaskar and Meenal Thakur also dropped by.
Ashok Nanda was very elated at the event. “RIVAAZ tackles prostitution as a family business in parts of India. Even if one family makes a change over, I think my work will begin,” says an emotional Ashok Nanda.
Adds Meghna, “The only condition Ashok Nanda laid down before me was that I should wear no makeup. And then when I shot, he made me use makeup to look ugly as that was my character. But it was fun. And the film while retaining entertainment values, questions why India is still a land of such shocking facts. It is an awakening film, if you ask me.”
