1) The major and the most important initiatives for The Japanese Wife, was Netflix ordering a second round of 300 DVDs from us. The way Netflix works, as DMV partner agreement ensures that they feature the movie and allow people to add to their “queue”. But they do not place a PO with distributor unless there are enough people who have added to queue. When they have enough, they order 300 max — enough to maintain their normal rental distribution. The Japanese Wife went live only on July 13th, and within two weeks they re-ordered 300 more.

5) The Japanese Wife became only the second Bengali film ever to be on iTunes and hence viewable on iPhone, iPod and the immensely popular iPad.
