Saregama India Ltd., India’s flagship music and entertainment Company, after creating the stupendous musical success story of ‘Balgandharva’ in 2011, is all set to release the music of the film AJINTHA at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Andheri, Mumbai.

The event was attended by Vikram Gokhale, Ravindra Saathe, Markand Deshpande, Mahesh Manjrekar and many more celebrities. The grand music launch with the entire cast and crew of AJINTHA and glimpses of the movie along with the LIVE performance of the lead actress Sonalee Kulkarni and her unique look made this event one of the most memorable event for everyone.

According to the Devanagari Script (Marathi), Ajanta is read as ‘Ajintha’. And that’s the title of the film AJINTHA produced under the Iconic Banner Chandrakant Productions Pvt Ltd. This film is directed by Shri Nitin Chandrakant Desai.  AJINTHA is based on a true love story, told never before, between Major Robert Gill and a tribal girl named Paro. Their Love was pure…beyond all languages, all barriers, cultures!  AJINTHA is a brain child and the directorial debut of the internationally acclaimed Production Designer and Producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai. It’s his salute to the creators of the caves & the Indian Art, and a tribute to Paro, all the villagers of Ajanta & Robert Gill.

The music of this iconic film is set to tunes by Kaushal S. Inamdar and penned beautifully by N D Mahanor.   This album is a bouquet of   variety of songs   presented in the versatile vocals of Kaushal Inamdar, Ravindra Sathe, Avdhoot Gupte, Suresh Wadkar to name a few. ‘Dolyane dasale pahad’ is a melodious number sung by Kaushal Inamdar himself along with Ravindra Sathe and Chorus. The song ‘Laal Hori’ comes thrice in the film with various moods like rhythmic happy tribal hori song, colourful romantic number and at the end comes with a sad feel.  This song depicts the pathos of Paro trapped in the hands of the society’s superstitions and age-old beliefs.

As stated by Mr. Adarsh Gupta, Business Head-Music, Saregama India Ltd., “The music of AJINTHA is a piece of art that will stay relevant forever just like the caves.  It gives me a great sense of pride to be associated with the music of AJINTHA, an epic film based on the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ajanta Caves. For those who want to add another great album to their collection, AJINTHA is definitely worth the buy.”

AJINTHA! is a musical, an adventure ride & a philosophy too, all clubbed into one.
