Ek Deewana Tha, the first ever television soap from the house of LSD Films Pvt. Ltd. of dynamic producer Prateek Sharma, is all set to create waves all over. Thanks to its unusual storyline and ensemble cast, the show has created a great curiosity among viewers with its promos even before its grand release. Sachin Parikh plays Ram Bisht, one of the pivotal roles in this Sony show. He is highly excited about the show. His track as well as performance are tipped to become one of the highlights of EDT, we have learnt.
Another reason for his excitement is a sheer coincidence that’s happening due to this show. Besides, sources said that the actors and his colleagues share an amazing chemistry. First, let us talk about that sheer coincidence.
Sachin, an award winning television and film actor, has Amar Upadhyay as a co-actor in smartly packaged EDT. While fans of Sachin and Amar may start having an intuition what we are talking about, we need to spill the beans for others. Sachin had once played Ravi, a lead role in Mehul Kumar’s So Dahada Sasuna, one of the most successful Gujarati serials ever. Amar, around that time, was creating waves on the small screen with his portrayal of Mihir in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Both Sachin and Amar are Gujaratis and both had tasted an extraordinary fame with their respective shows then.
Remembering his SDS days, a visibly thrilled Sachin says, “It is sort of an unbeatable feat for a Gujarati soap to run for more than 1,000 episodes at a stretch. I remember that people would go mad after me. For them, Ravi was their family member, a darling entertainer!”
Amar, at the same time, had become a national icon by playing Mihir. Many years passed since then and now, life has come a full circle with their interesting collaboration for Ek Deewana Tha. Says Sachin, “Working with Amar as well as other talented actors in EDT is like an unforgettable experience. For, I am told by several crew members that they are immensely liking the making of this show. My character and chemistry with other protagonists, especially Donal Bisht, who is playing my daughter Sharanya and Vikram Singh Chauhan, who is also playing a lead role of Vyom, is also amazing!”
Moreover, top class production value, imaginative scripting and sensible direction are surely going to help this show to remain on top. According to Sachin, “It is imperative for any show that the entire team works in tandem and with complete faith in the narrative. I believe that our producer Prateek, director Pratik Shah have succeeded in doing it. The results will impress one and all. Thanks to the collective efforts, EDT will surely become a big show.”
Sachin is also very confident EDT with a touch of supernatural elements will grow with time. Ask him how, and he says with a big smile, “Because you know that Sony and our makers have created a fabulous team in EDT and a fabulous team always wins, right?!”
Oh yes, Sachin!
