Rajendra Pawar debuting in Bollywood as director with KKRISHNU THE SUPER HERO

Writer, director, actor, poet, the multifaceted personality Rajendra Pawar has won Maharashtra state government’s best writer-director award in 2006 for DYANDEEP LAVU JAGI. He has also received many prizes from Municipal corporations of Ambarnath, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan.

Talking to GLAMGOLD he says, “I was writing poems, charolya (Four line poetries) when I was in school. I wrote plays like ‘Samasyecha Yaa Anti, Jirn Manache Ashru, Dyandeep Lavu Jagi…Also wrote commercial play ‘Kalyugi Mahan Bharat’.”

Rajendra debuted with play TEE PAHATACH BALA as child artist. Then he did SINHASAN GHELA CHULIT. He is currently seen in Sahyadri channel’s ABHAL AAPLA AAPLA playing negative character.

Rajendra’s debut film MUMBAICHA KINARA will release very soon. In the film he is playing Sagar Nakhwa. He has also worked as assistant director for the same. He is assisting director Satar Mirza for ‘Maazi Maai’ and S. Vikram for ‘Karavali’ staring Ashok Saraf, Tejswini Pandit and Sayaji Shinde. Rehearsals of his next play TALYA has already started.


About his first venture in Hindi films Rajendra says with excitement, “I am directing Hindi film KKRISHNU THE SUPER HERO which will be made under the banner of Rajputana Films. We have made teaser and the film will go on floors in January 2013.”

Rajendra specially hums his two charolyas for readers and poetry lovers of GLAMGOLD.

Naahi milali chandanachi lakad,

Tar mala phatlelya tyre varti jhala,

Fakt mala jaltana baghun,

Mana pasun don ashru gala.


Ek akashatali ek chandani,

Majhya viskatlelya aanganat sandal hoti,

Asa mhantat ki majhya aangancha prema khatar,

Tee aakhya aakashashi bhandali hoti.
