Musical muhurt of Marathi film ZENTLEMAN

M. R. Films presentation, produced by Rahul Gaware, directed by Asit Redij Marathi film ZENTLEMAN‘s muhurt was held with song recording at Mumbai. The song ‘Mee albeli chanchal chhori, chhan chhan baje payal mori’ was rendered by Neha Kakkar, penned by veteran lyricist Padmashri Namdeo Dhasal. Satishchandra is music director of the film.

Though feeling unwell Namdeo Dhasal specially graced the occasion. He said, “Since last many years I had stopped writing songs for films. But when Rahul Gaware, Satishchandra and Asit Redij narrated the story of the film and situation I could not avoid the fascination to write the song.”

On the occasion Neha Kakkar said, “Earlier I have sung a Marathi song for music director Satishchandra. But singing this song I enjoyed more. I had to work hard as the song has Marathi and Hindi words. I concentrated on correct pronunciation of Marathi words.  I practiced a lot before recording the song.”

ZENTLEMAN is satire on our social system. With urban and rural background the film will be shoot 60% in Mumbai and 40% on other locations, going on the floor by August.

The film stars Sanjay Narvekar, Anand Abhayankar, Usha Nadkarni and the director Asit Redij himself. Casting for leading lady and other characters is in process. ZENTLEMAN is written by Anand Mhasvekar, cinematography by Mangesh Sawant, executive producer Ajit Gayakwad.

Gentleman means well behaved person. Many people pronounce gentleman as zentleman. The film is journey of Zentleman from Gentleman.
