Mrunal Kulkarni’s debut directorial PREM MHANJE PREM MHANJE PREM ASATE is a matured love story

Talented actress and children’s favorite ‘Son Pari’ aka Mrunal Kulkarni will now be seen in new avtar. She has taken the helm of Marathi film PREM MHANJE PREM MHANJE PREM ASATE as director. After completing first schedule, marathon shoot is going on for second schedule in a bungalow Krishan Kunj at Perangut Road near Chandani Chowk, Pune. GLAMGOLD recently visited the beautiful location and talked to the debutant director and the actors.

The story is written by Mrunal Kulkarni. Talking to GLAMGOLD she said, “During the writing only I had names of actors in my mind. When I narrated the story everybody was quickly convinced. I am very happy to have such talented artists for my debut directorial venture. I am really enjoying the direction part.”

Mrunal is also acting in the film. She plays Anushri, a typical housewife who is happy with her responsibilities and smile on her family member’s face. “You can’t define love. Everybody have their own point of view. PMPMPA is a matured love story. It deals with our traditional marriage system and about the changes that come with time. Last few years we are seeing contract marriage, live-in relationship, long distance marriage, career oriented women etc. But then? What our next generation will think? The film has different age characters from kids to in-laws. I have shown everybody’s point of view on this matter,” continues Mrunal.

Sunil Barve plays Kedar who had married at very early age. He said, “Kedar has happy family, loving wife and two daughters. But at certain point in his life he feels saturation. After satisfaction in career and family life now what? Will his life roll in same way? That is where another woman comes in his life and…”

Talking about his experience working with a lady director Sunil said, “Oh fantastic.  It is added advantage when talented actress becomes director. Mrunal narrates the scenes very well. Because of her experience she also has technical knowledge.”

Sachin Khedekar plays Dr. Rohit Phadnis. He said, “As actors I and Mrunal know each other very well. We worked together in many films. So it was easy to work with her. As a director she is doing brilliant job.”

PREM MHANJE PREM MHANJE PREM ASATE is being made under the banner of Amol Productions. Producer Sachin Parekar, presenter Bhupat Bodar and Kaushal Pravin Thakkar is co-producer. Manisha Korde has written screenplay and dialogues. Music is given by father-son duo Milind Ingale and Surel Ingale, lyrics penned by Saumitra. The film stars Mrunal Kulkarni, Sunil Barve, Sachin Khedekar, Pallavi Joshi, Suhas Joshi, Mohan Agashe, Smita Talwalkar, Neha Joshi and Siddharth Chandekar.
