Marathi film TAMASHA…HAACH KHEL UDYA PUNHA says the story of Tamasha artists

Tamasha is popular folk dance of Maharashtra. It is a nice combination of tradition, culture and art. Since so many years entertainment is also associated with it. Though Tamasha has contributed a lot in culture of Maharashtra the dancers are always ignored. Many dancers like Anand Fandi, Ram Joshi, Honaji Bala, Paththe Bapurao etc. had taken this art to new heights. Nine Godess produced Anishka Entertainment presented TAMASHA…HAACH KHEL UDYA PUNHA says the story, journey and struggle of Tamasha dancers. The film reveals problems of their life like poorness, male domination factor, illiteracy and betrayal. A dancer how faces the problems and continues the art shows the film.

The film is directed by Milind Pednekar. He has also written the screenplay and dialogues. Vikram Bhagwat has written the story. Bharat Jadhav, Ramesh Bhatkar, Priya Berde, Vaishali Jadhav, Ranjit Jog, Ketki Palav, Anirudhdha Deshpande, Vivek Pawar, Dinesh Dhuri, Anirudhdha Kunkawlekar, Devendra Ghamre stars in the film.

Since the film is about an art, dance and songs, music is also very important. Music director Ashok Patki has given music on Lavnis written by late Paththe Bapurao. Kalyani Pande, Nandesh Umap, Anjali Nandgaonkar has sung the songs and choreography by Deepali Vichare.

TAMASHA…HAACH KHEL UDYA PUNHA is slated to release in October.
