Rajshri productions have always given films with Indian traditions and culture. Till date all the films were directed by male director but this is for the first time Rajshri’s film have female director. Ofcourse ISI LIFE MEIN continues the trend with little change. ILM shows modern collegians of metro city, their language etc.

Rajnandini (Sandeepa Dhar) is from Ajmer, very brilliant, state topper and obedient girl. She comes to Mumbai for further studies where she meets Vivan (Akshay Oberoi) and his friends. His father (Aditya Raj Kapoor) wants him to do job in chartered accountant’s company but Vivan is interested in plays.

Vivan is eye of all the girls in college. He is chairperson of Dramatic Society. He plans to participate in intercollege drama competition and decide to make play on Shakespeare’s story. They all start rehearsing. One day Vivan decides for makeover of Rajnandini. She is transformed into metro girl and they go to party for her new avtaar. Surprise visit of her dad Ravi Mohan (Mohnish Behl) is shocking. Ravi takes RJ back to Ajmer, fixes her marriage. Vivan and company will not perform play without RJ as there is no time. So they go to Ajmer to bring Rjback to Mumbai. After going there they come to know Rajnandini is getting married. So what next? You can guess it.

The story is easily predictable. ILM have nothing new but is combination of PYAAR KIYA TO DARNA KYA and DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE. Climax is inspired from DIL TO PAGAL HAI. Vidhi Kasliwal has tried well but story is age old. The chemistry between father-son (Aditya and Akshay) and father-daughter (Mohnish and Sandeepa) is missing. That plot could have been very strong but is not at all developed. The film becomes just ordinary. Yaa it keeps Rajshri’s record of being goodie goodie.

Akshay Oberoi is promising. Sandeepa is perfect as Indian traditional girl. The rest artists have done their job nicely. Music by Meet Brother, Anjjan is good. Two songs Ramji 24×7 and LOL are catchy.

Overall ISI LIFE MEIN has nothing new to give.
