GG) GANDHI TERE DESH MEIN is your first Hindi film…

SY) Yes. Actually I have decided to do only Marathi films as it is easy to do films in your mother tongue. But I liked the script of GTDM. Plus this was an opportunity to work in bilingual film Hindi and Gujarati.

GG) How did you get GTDM?

SY) Co-ordinator Yayati Rajwade forwarded my photographs to producer Mr. Jagdish Rao. He liked it and thought I was fit for the character. I got a call from his office. Jagdish narrated story to me. I liked it very much and accepted the film.

GG) Tell us about your character.

SY) I am playing Barakha who is reporter. She is very bold and bindas. She is having soft corner for Rudra Pratap played by Jagdish.

GG) How tough it was to do Gujarati film?

SY) It was challenging as I do not know Gujarati. I was more worried about language than character. Dialogue writer Mr. Kishor Sachde helped me a lot.

GG) How was your experience working with debutant actor-producer Jagdish?

SY) Great. He is very co-operative and nice actor.

GG) What about your dancing and classes?

SY) I am continuing my focus on dancing. It is my passion. As everybody knows I am running dance class in Pune PRAKRUTI SCHOOL OF ARTS. Right now there are 85 students in the school learning dance.

GG) What next?

SY) My next film NIRMALYA will release soon. Prasad Oak and Priyamvada Sawant are co-actors. HELLO DARLING will also release which is an out and out comedy. I am also writing a script for Jagdish. That will be Hindi film which will go on the floor next year.
