Madhur Bhandarkar has always given hard hitting dark films. This time he has tried comedy genre. But as expectations from Madhur DIL TOH BACHHA HAI JI fails to make laugh from start to end. Till interval it is very funny but post interval the comedy train derails.

As such there is no story. The film revolves around these three roommates. There are many funny moments till interval which makes you laugh. Post interval when the film becomes serious you lose interest. Madhur should have maintained comedy till the end. Dialogues written by Sanjay Chhel save the film till some extent. Music is okay. One song written by Sanjay Chhel Jadoogari… is nice number. But that too may be because of hammering throughout the film. Climax is predictable.
Ajay Devgn is good in comedy. Emraan is as usual suitable as playboy. Omi is fine. After LAHORE Shradhha here has got good chance to show her talent and definitely is promising. Shahzn is very cute. Tisca is nice. Shruti is okay. Mukesh Tiwari, Dhruv Bhandari, Kamlesh Oza, Sachin Parekh, Daisy Irani have done good job. Talented actor Manoj Joshi is for just one scene. Shweta Salve is item girl.
Overall DTBHJ is not great comedy but can be time pass for weekend. Madhurji we expect great comedy film from you as your great serious films.
