Designer Vaishali Shadangule flaunts Indian Weaves Paithani and Chanderi with her collection DANCE OF DUALTIES

Truly ‘desi’ is in Vogue this season and day 2 @ Lakme Fashion Week saw a perfect example of this with Designer Vaishali’s Collection DANCE OF DUALTIES.

The runway saw a contemporary mix of two completely different fabrics ‘Chanderi’ from Madhya Pradesh and ‘Paithani’ from Maharashtra being merged. Each garment depicted a different form of a saree drape and was beautifully carried by top models Alecia, Candice Pinto etc.

The bold Red ‘bindi’ and the traditional Maharashtrian ‘nath’ worn by each model justified each garment rightly and were widely appreciated by all present.

Collection Note:

This present collection is an attempt to find an aesthetic form of the play of the multiplicities of life – external and internal, social and personal, displayed and concealed, transient and indestructible. And she interprets this as DANCE OF DUALITIES in the form of juxtapositions of CHANDERI and PAITHANI.
