When creative consultant Saurabh Vanzara got married to his lady love of ten years – actress Shabnam Syed, the entertainment industry thronged to wish him. Brother Sanket Vanzara with fiancée Tumpa were busy greeting guests from producers Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli, actors Karan Oberoi, Pooja Kanwal with mother Anita Kanwal, Muskaan Mihani, sufi singer Mudasir Ali, Achint Kaur and Mohan Kapur, Rajesh Tandon, Rajesh Khera, Amar Upadhyay, Kirti Kulhari, Payal Nair, Anupam Bhattacharya, Lekh Tandon, Arjun Bijlani, Reena Kapoor with husband Karan, composer Sanjeev, Rio Kapadia, Karan Oberoi and a horde of others.
Said an emotional Shabnam holding Saurabh’s hand fondly, “I am elated. Saurabh is all that I ever wanted and much more. I feel complete.” Smiled Saurabh, “There is a child-woman quality about Shabnam that hasn’t changed over years. I don’t think the fact that we are married has yet sunk in. We are happy. Nothing has changed for us.”
Achint Kaur and Binaiferr Kolhi were blissful that “Our best buddy made it to the altar!!!” while Mudasir Ali preferred to sing… “Rabba mere din jo na dhale, wo jo mujhe khwab me mile…” Muskaan Mihani grinned, “Sanket had fooled me saying it was his wedding,” while Rajesh Tandon added to the fun by saying, “Today he is happy. He is just married.”
The bride and the groom, blissfully unaware of the guests and their thoughts were only too happy being themselves. For some, the vows are always there, for it is a matter of the heart.
