Country Club India Ltd (CCIL), India’s leading leisure & infrastructure company, has unveiled a blue print to take the concept of wellness tourism pan India. CCIL has earmarked Rs 100 crores for creating a chain of Country Spas across India over the next two years.
Speaking at the launch of Country Spa Mr. Y. Rajeev Reddy – Founder & Chairman, CCIL stated “the concept of Country Spas reflects the potential CCIL sees in the world of wellness tourism. Authentic Ayurvedic therapy is gaining popularity. A large number of foreign nationals are visiting India for therapies. Yoga & Ayurveda are India’s gift to the world and with Country Spas we aim to capitalize the same”.
The Country Spa Coconut Groove, Bangalore was inaugurated on September 14, 2010 by Bollywood Diva Mahima Chaudhary along with Mr. Rajeev Reddy. The spa that is spread over twenty five scenic acres, and has fifty rooms and offers traditional Ayurvedic & Naturopathy treatments.
CCIL’s spa foray began in 2009 with the launch of Country Spa, Kerala, India’s first floating Spa, that offers state-of-the art hydro-therapies. Spread over five acres of utopian environs, Country Spa, Kerala, also offers ancient Ayurvedic treatments & diet plans that lead to complete body & mind rejuvenation.
Mr. Reddy also informed that CCIL has tied-up with the renowned Kairali group for Country Spas. “The next two years would see six more Country Spas with an inventory of five hundred rooms coming up at Dubai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkatta, Chennai and Mumbai”, he said.
Mr. Reddy revealed Country Spas would be a major revenue stream for CCIL. Over the next few years, twenty per cent of CCIL’s overall revenues would be generated through Country Spas.
