Corporate Photography festival ‘STILLS 2011’ Grand Finale held at Mumbai

iStore by Reliance Digital presents ‘STILLS 2011’, a unique photography festival, which promotes the passion of photography amongst amateurs from the corporate world had its grand finale at R City Mall Ghatkopar, Mumbai on Friday 26th 2011 at 6 pm. Season 2 of this photography festival created and produced by WOOT Factor, is a platform that engages professionals from various streams of businesses, across age, across gender and across locations. This season is also ably supported by Lonely Planet India Magazine (Association sponsors).

Around 35 corporate houses from across India have participated in this festival and employees across the group interested in the art of photography have been encouraged to send in their entries. Over 40000 entries were received by corporate houses – and 700 of these STILLS made it to the Jury table for a final round of selections.

Of the thousands of entries received, the top 70 were being exhibited at finale in an Art exhibition at the atrium of R City Mall. On the same day, in the thrilling finale, the winners were felicitated by a panel of eminent jury members. The panelists included Television actress Shveta Salve, Ace Photographer and Jury Head Rafique Sayed, Chief Editor WWM Mr. Vardhan, and Ace Wildlife photographer (BBC Top 30 Wildlife Photographer) Amber Sharma amongst others.

The awards to be handed out at the STILLS Grand Finale included – Top STILL that won a Macbook Pro, an Olympus EPL-1 Camera, a special feature in Lonely Planet Magazine and much more. Awards for the Most Voted STILL, Best Caption, Producers Choice and Top Corporates also handed out in the ceremony.

STILLS 2011 finale also attended by the cast of “Man in the Maze’, the much awaited Hollywood movie by Indian director-producer Mitesh Patel and scheduled for an exclusive release in India on September 2nd. Mitesh Patel was present to support the finalists of the photography festival along with the gorgeous Australian lead actress of the movie and ex-Miss Earth Australia 2009 Liana Werner-Gray.
