Haseena Jethmalani, Parizad Kolah and Amrita Raichand along with Rahul Raichand launched the Junior Football Championship( JFC) at Chez Vous French Bistro in Mumbai. JFC is amongst the first professionally organized Football Leagues for children in the city; it is designed and planned after researching some of the top Kids league around the World. This league will be played on one of the nicest football grounds in the city.
Basis of Junior Football Championships
This league is specifically conceptualized to help the kids in more ways than one:
· To let children be children and have fun playing sports
· It is to help make a child a team player in the society
· Keep him physically fit and active, helping fight the rising childhood obesity levels
· Help build character and make him more disciplined
· Learn fundamentals of the sport and bring out the competitive spirit
· Further bond with parent in an outdoor atmosphere and on a sports field
The different League and age groups:
LEAGUE 1 : Age Group between 5-6years
LEAGUE 2: Age Group between 7-8 years
LEAGUE 3: Age Group between 9-10 years
LEAGUE 4: Age Group between 11-12 years
LEAGUE 5: Age Group between 13-14 years
There will be 8 teams in every age group and they will play each other twice in a double header.
The registration can only be done through the website and it will be on first come first basis. However priority will be given to parents who support JFC in the form of Volunteers.
JFC was conceptualized with the sole aim to create a platform for closer interaction between parents and kids on a football pitch in the midst of healthy rivalry. We would encourage Parents to be coaches of their respective kid’s team.
The football pitch where JFC will be held will be at the Western Railways Sports Association Ground, opposite Phoenix Mills at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. It is amongst the best football grounds in Mumbai.
The league will start on 19th November and be played over 14 Saturdays
