After the stupendous success of Housefull 2, producer Sajid Nadiadwala known for his illustrious track record, is ready with his next home production starring Akshay Kumar – a film in the action-romantic space that goes on floors mid-February next year.
Having made over 150 crores worldwide despite the ongoing IPL, Sajid Nadiadwala ‘s Housefull 2, one of the biggest grossers of all time, managed a feat very few could, credit the sharp-minded producer who always seems to have his pulse on the market.
With several blockbusters under his belt the producer is ready with the concept of his next, details of which are yet to be finalized. Despite not settling on a director for the venture as yet, the producer known for his sixth sense when it comes to story lines, teams with Akshay Kumar, given the warm equation the two have shared over the years. Says a trade analyst “Be it Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Heyy Babyy or Housefull 2, Sajid Nadiadwala has always managed to capture interests with a mere storyline –His passion for films, his box office success rate and the fact that he’s been in the industry for over 25 years is a reason actors never have to bat eyelids on professional calls he takes.”
Confirming the news says producer Sajid Nadiadwala, “Yes Akshay and I team up again for my next venture. We have a strong personal equation. The film falls in the romantic-action genre. It will be interesting to see Akki in that space. He has always trusted my instincts as far as stories are concerned.” Adding that, “Once I am through with the basic storyline, my team will start work on the screenplay. Nothing else, including female lead, or other crew members, are finalized yet”.
