12th Sanskruti Kala Darpan Film Festival received overwhelming response

Cinema is mirror of society, whether the film is entertaining or with a strong social message. 12th Film Festival organized by Sanskruti Kala Darpan was held at Mumbai. The festival was inaugurated by veteran writer-director Sagar Sarhadi.

Ramesh Salgaonkar, Rekha Sahay, Milind Gawli, Samridhhi Pore, Kanchan Adhikari, Gajendra Ahire, Vijay Patkar, Pramod Pawar, Ajay Phansekar, A. Radhaswami, Smita Jaykar, Amruta Rao and many more celebrities graced the occasion.

The festival was held for five days, 13th to 18th February. Archana Nevrekar, vice president of Sanskruti Kala Darpan said, “Total 56 films have registered out of which 17 best films were selected for screening and the final round of competition. The jury members were Abhay Rajadhyaksh, Ramesh Salgaonkar, Rekha Sahay and Samrudhhi Pore.”

The jury members for final round were Santosh Bhingarde, Soumitra Pote, Kanchan Adhikari, Amit Bhandari and Ajay Phansekar. First prize of Rs. 2 lacs, Second prize of Rs. 1.5 lacs and Third prize of Rs. 1 lac will be given to three best films. The result will be declared on 24th February in a grand event to be held at BKC, Bandra in Mumbai.

In this festival Marathi films Shala, Gajar, Dambis, Golaberij, Amhi Ka Tisre, Mukti, Fakt Ladh Mhan, Khel Mandla, Arjun, Jhakas, SopaN Ek Jidd, Aarohi, Re La Re, Yada Yada Hi Dharmsya, Sharyat, Nav Sava Nav Chi Vel Hoti and Deool were screened. During the festival there were group discussions organized specially on ‘Advertisements & Promotions for Films’ and ‘Modern Technology & Films’.

12th Sanskruti Kala Darpan Film Festival received overwhelming response from the audience. The People came to watch the films were amazed. Everybody appreciated the efforts taken by Mr. Chandrakant Sandwe, president and Archana Nevrekar, vice president of Sanskruti Kala Darpan for their contribution towards Marathi Film Industry.

Mr. Chandrakant Sandwe told, “We are planning to organise National Film Festival in June 2012. Films of different Indian languages will be screened during the festival. Out of those films three films will be selected. These three films will have screening at US Asia Film Festival representing Indian Films.”
